Email Assistant
The Email Assistant is a dedicated address that belongs to you — something like your-name@agent.hellodeck.ai. You email it the way you'd email a colleague: forward files, CC it on threads, or send it instructions. It files what you forward, follows threads you CC it on, and sets up routines you ask for in plain English.
Set up your assistant
Setting up your Email Assistant takes about two minutes. You'll pick a name and send a test message — that's all. You're not connecting an inbox or granting Deck access to your mail; you're just turning on an address you can send mail to.
How to engage with your assistant
You can engage with your assistant a few different ways — each one fits a different moment of the day.
CC the assistant
CC your assistant address on an email exchange the way you'd add any colleague. Deck reads along as messages come in, builds up context from the back-and-forth, and answers your questions — quietly, only to you.
Replies that stay in the thread
Deck replies inside the same conversation, never as a new thread — and only to you.
Attachments and supported files
Attachments on a forwarded email are uploaded to the right project automatically — the same way you'd upload them by hand inside Deck.
Use your assistant address directly
The simplest "advanced" pattern doesn't involve any code* field wherever a system asks you for an email. Mailing lists, GitHub notifications, calendar invites, status pages, billing alerts — anything that sends mail can send it directly to Deck.
