About Deck

What does Deck do?

Deck is an AI workspace built around your inbox. An Email Assistant files what you forward and follows threads you CC it on, Vigil quietly watches your work and nudges you when something needs attention, and scheduled routines — like a daily morning brief — run on a cadence in the background.

Who is Deck for?

Anyone whose week revolves around an inbox full of documents, threads, and follow-ups — customer-facing teams, deal teams, hiring leads, founders, the people who support them. If you spend your day reading and writing, Deck is for you. See Who Deck is for for role-by-role playbooks.

How is Deck different than ChatGPT and Claude?

ChatGPT and Claude wait for you to open a chat window and start typing. Deck doesn't. It's a persistent assistant that's always on — quietly watching your inbox, your calendar, and your active projects, and surfacing what matters before you've thought to ask. It knows what a project is, files documents against the right one, runs routines on a schedule, and accumulates context over time instead of starting from a blank slate every conversation. The chat box is still there when you want it; the difference is that most days it shouldn't have to be your first move.

Files and projects

What file types can I upload?

PDFs, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx), plain text, and Markdown. See Attachments for the full list.

Is there a file size limit?

Direct uploads inside Deck support files up to about 100 MB each. Email forwards are capped by your provider — usually 25 MB per message. See Attachments for the full breakdown.

Email Assistant

How do I get my Email Assistant address?

Go to Settings → Email Assistant and pick a name. We'll create your address — something like your-name@agent.hellodeck.ai. See Set up your assistant.

Can I change my assistant address later?

No — addresses are permanent. Pick a name you'll be happy with.

Scheduled tasks & Vigil

How often can a scheduled task run?

Hourly, daily, every weekday, weekly, or one-time. See Schedules.

Can I run a task right now without waiting for the schedule?

Yes — open the task and click Run now. See Run a task on demand.

How is Vigil different from a scheduled task?

A scheduled task runs what you told it to, on a cadence. Vigil watches your world and surfaces things on its own — a deal that's gone quiet, a relevant news story, a question your teammate asked. See Vigil.

Security & privacy

Is my data secure?

Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure, scoped to your account — only you can see what you've put into Deck.

Is my data used to train models?

No. Your data is not used to train Deck's models or any third-party model.

Can I use my own AI account?

Not today — Deck handles all that for you behind the scenes.

How do I delete a project or my account?

Delete a project from inside the project itself; deletion cascades to its files and chats. To delete your account entirely, email support@hellodeck.ai.

Billing & account

How much does Deck cost?

Deck is $34.99/month billed monthly, or $29.99/month billed annually. There's a free tier to try the basics and a 7-day free trial of the paid plan — no credit card needed to start. See hellodeck.ai for the latest details.

How do I get started?

Create an account at app.hellodeck.ai/sign-up. If you'd like a walkthrough first, request early access.

Can I switch plans later?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
